I first became a fan of Rap when The Beastie Boys released Paul’s Boutique in ‘89. I love that album. Then, in December of ‘94, they performed “Sabotage” on David Letterman. It was epic.

I’m no expert (I lean on Younger Son pretty heavily to find me new stuff I’ll like), but I know what I love. And here are 13 tracks I love. This list gets a bonus track because one of my all-time favorites is “Quiet Dog” by Mos Def, but Spotify doesn’t have it. I figured I’d include it anyway. Hope you enjoy.
