An Angry Hum

I believe it was the early summer of 1984. It was one of my first trips with my high school band. I’d pulled out my Walkman to listen to something. One of the older kids, sitting across from me on the bus, had a case full of cassettes. He handed it to me, and I don’t remember him saying anything. I looked through the case and picked one to listen to. It was Zenyatta Mondatta by The Police, and I became a lifelong fan that day.
