I’d never heard anything like it. It was an adrenaline rush. My mom had always disapproved of something I was listening to, like Pink Floyd, AC/DC or the first Van Halen album. But this was different. There was no question that every adult I knew would hate Metallica. It was FAST, loud, and angry. I loved it.
